Special Presentation - US Navy Seal, KIA, Petty Officer Second Class Matthew Axelson, Minden, NV

Patriot Guard Riders of Nevada's State Captain Joe Mastroianni's description of this coming Saturday, June 20, 2015's 'Special Presentation' is below.

Good Day PGR Members,

Howard Mordell, a PGR Ride Captain from Grass Valley, CA, has invited the Northern Nevada Patriot Guard Riders to join him in a special presentation on June 20, 2015.

We presented a PGR banner and a 'Killed in Action' banner which has been signed by many people from Nevada and California along with a PGR plaque. The presentation was made to the family of Petty Officer Second Class Matthew Axelson, one of the Navy Seals KIA in Afghanistan and was featured in the movie “Lone Survivor”.

The Axelson family lives in Minden, Nevada and has a business called Axelson Tactical, LLC.

We met with the PGR riders from California and had all of us arrive at the Axelson’s store together. Please see Nevada Assistant State Captain Dean Shuff’s information for all the details on times and rendezvous/staging locations.

I encourage all of you to join us to make this presentation a memorable event for the Axelson family in honoring this brave, fallen hero.

Sincerely,
Joe Mastroianni
Nevada State Captain
Patriot Guard Riders

The first stop was in Carson City, NV where other riders joined the group.

The remaining distance to Axelson Tactical is fewer than fifteen miles; approximately ten miles south to Airport Road, east to Park Place and south to 2222 Park Place.
