"We will NOT forget"...

Many of you may be familiar with Rob Jones, USMC veteran, bicycling across our nation to raise awareness and money to aid the medical facilities which helped him with his recovery. This young Marine lost both legs in 2010 and last October departed Bar Harbor, Maine for his destination, USMC Camp Pendleton, California. He has traveled just under 5000 miles.

Monday, March 17, three Reno and two Fallon Patriot Guard Riders joined two bicyclists and three Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers to escort double amputee USMC veteran Rob Jones from Fallon, NV to Silver Springs, NV. The escort went well, including TV and print coverage from the starting point in Fallon. We returned to Fallon for the dedication by Glenna Smith from Senator Dean Heller's office and Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford, as we stood a flag line during the ceremony. Our escort will depart Silver Springs, NV Tuesday morning, March 18 at 8:30 AM with Carson City as the destination.
