Richard Muirhead, Warrant Officer 2, U.S. Army, Vietnam Veteran - Susanville, CA
On the first full day of fall, at the request of the family, 30 members of the Patriot Guard Riders assembled at Diamond Crest Cemetery in Susanville California, to pay tribute to a fallen brother. Richard Muirhead proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Richard served as a helicopter pilot and was highly decorated for his courage and valor. 150 friends and family were on hand to pay their final respects to this American Patriot. Standing the flag line with the Susanville Patriot Guard was a group from Redding P.G.R. led by Tony Demarco and a group from Reno P.G.R led by Talbert. The American Legion, the Marine Corp League, and the United States Army Honor Guard were on hand to pay final tribute to Richard.
Warrant Officer Richard Muirhead, we thank you for your honorable service to this country we love. Your watch has been stood, your duty to protect this nation is complete, and you’ve earned the right to be called a true American Hero. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Respectfully
Gary Moffet
