US Army, Vietnam Veteran - Msgt Donald J. Shelton - Westwood, CA
The Patriot Guard Riders having been invited by the family of fallen US Army, Vietnam Veteran - Operation Desert Storm Veteran , Msgt Donald J. Shelton, to honor during his Interment Service at the Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, CA.. The mission involved a flag line at the Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, CA for family and friends to pass through. On an sunny Fall day, 24 PGR members, 19 motors and 3 cages, showed to present Honors for this true American Hero, where the PGR stood Honor Line at his Interment Service. Msgt Donald J. Shelton was a highly decorated Special Forces Green Beret who served his country proudly through the numerous conflicts from Vietnam through Operation Desert Storm.
I would like to give a special thanks to Reno Nevada PGR Ride Captain Bill Drummond and his contingent of five riders, Alturas Ride Captain Skip Kelly and his contingent, PGR Member Richard Pinnell who traveled from Chico, CA, and PGR Member Tom who traveled from Atascadero, CA to assist the Susanville PGR stand Honor Line with American Flags during this Mission. Also present at this Mission was Wes Reeves who was attending his first PGR Mission.

Your watch has been stood, your duty to protect this nation is complete, and you’ve earned the right to be called a true American Hero. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
