US Navy Korean War Veteran, Carrol Bollinger - Westwood, CA
The Patriot Guard Riders having been invited by the family of fallen US Navy Korean War Veteran, Carrol Bollinger, to stand and honor during his Interment service at the Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, CA.
Carrol C. Bollinger entered the US Navy in April 1951 and served as a member of their elite Seabee’s during the Korean War. Honorable discharge in 1956 where he returned to Westwood. Carrol Bollinger was a proud US Navy Korean War Veteran. Because of his love of life, his sense of humor and his love for his family, he will be missed by many.
On a beautiful summer day in Westwood, 13 Patriot Guard Riders assembled to "stand the flag line" to show respect & final honors for Korean War Navy Seabee veteran "Clive" Bollinger. Two flag lines were assembled: along the entry road for family & friends to pass through and then around those attendees during the rifle volleys, the folding of the flag and the playing of taps provided by various veterans organizations.
PGR members from Northern Nevada, Alturas, Susanville, Janesville & Westwood were in attendance.
Seabee veteran Bollinger, your mission here is complete: Rest in peace.
My personal thanks to Blake for his computer expertise and his legwork putting this mission together.
