Sunday, September 14, 2025

HONORING THE MEMORY OF CHARLIE KIRK

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

As a mark of respect for the memory of Charlie Kirk, by the authority vested in me as President of the United States by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby order that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset, September 14, 2025. I also direct that the flag shall be flown at half-staff for the same length of time at all United States embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels and stations.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.

The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides our love of motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect. There are 'NO" meetings, or money dues either.

Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:

1- Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.

2- Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.

We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.

The Patriot Guard Riders are a diverse amalgamation of riders and non-riders from across the nation using the internet to network and coordinate the pursuit of our Mission Statement.

We are not a Motorcycle or Riding Club nor are we set up to function as one. In fact, many Motorcycle and Riding clubs can and do participate in Patriot Guard Missions as individual clubs but the PGR is itself, not a club of any kind, just dedicated people with great respect for those who Stand for Us.

To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedoms of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. We honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.
