US Navy Veteran BMSN David Cecil Wiggins (Navy Seal) - Redding / Burney, CA
The family of United States Navy BMSN (Seal) David Cecil Wiggins have requested the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) and the Shasta Veterans Escort (SVE) to escort this fallen Hero to his final resting place in Burney, CA.
BMSN Wiggins served honorably from 1988 to 1992 aboard the USS Detroit (A0E4). He was awarded the US Coast Guard Special Operations Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2), National Defense Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, South West Asia Service Medal and the Purple Heart.
BMSN Wiggins saw action in Desert Storm, Desert Shield and in Kuwait.

A hot summer day in the Intermountain town of Burney, CA, former Navy Seal David Cecil Wiggins was afforded final honors & respect by local veterans color guard members, the combined members of Shasta Veterans Escort, Patriot Guard Riders from various locations around Northern CA as well as 2 members of the American Legion Riders post in Alturas. In total, we had a 16 member flag line.
BMSN Wiggins served his country as a Navy Seal between 1988 and 1992, with multiple awards & ribbons, including the Purple Heart while serving as Special Forces in many Middle-Eastern countries.
Let it be known that our Nation as well as his many friends and relatives around the Intermountain area are very proud of his service & sacrifice while in our military.
Rest in peace, sailor: your watch has been
stood with honor.
