United States Marine Corp Veteran, Ronald Baker - Reno, NV
The Patriot Guard Riders were invited by Mrs. Cynthia Baker, widow of fallen veteran Ronald “Ron’ Baker, to stand and honor prior to his funeral service May 6th, 2017 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church,1138 Wright St, Reno, NV.
***Thirteen PGR (three from NorCal PGR) honored fallen veteran Ronald Baker; the flag line was present at the church entrance prior to the service.
The service was started by our flag line proceeding to the front of the church sanctuary, standing on each side of a display of photos and military memorabilia of Lance Corporal Baker.
The USMC Honor Guard proceeded to the front of the church and as they folded the US Flag, Taps were sounded from the rear of the church.
A celebration of veteran Baker’s life was held at Bartley Ranch Regional Park following the service; five PGR motorcycles escorted the family and friends to the park, just as the skies opened
for the afternoon rain.

Veteran Baker joined the United States Marine Corp in February, 1958. Lance Corporal Baker honorably served his country on Okinawa, Japan and as a member of President Eisenhower’s security detail; he separated in February, 1960.
Mr. and Mrs. Baker resided in Reno the past thirty-five years.
