US Army Veteran, PV2 Douglas E. Bowman, to stand and honor during his Interment Service at the Janesville, CA Cemetery. PV2 Douglas E. Bowman served his country proudly in the US Army from 28 Sept 1972 to 21 May 1975.

PV2 Douglas E. Bowman served overseas in the US Army at RPC Giessen, Germany. PV2 Douglas E. Bowman was awarded the National Defense Service Medal - Good Conduct Medal - Parachute Badge and Sharpshooter Badge. PV2 Douglas E. Bowman lived in Susanville for many years as a businessman, owning Bowman Auto Body & Repair.

The Patriot Guard Riders having been invited by the family of fallen US Army Veteran, Pvt2 Douglas Bowman, to stand and honor during his Interment Service at the Janesville Cemetery, Janesville, CA.. The mission involved a flag line at the Janesville Cemetery, Janesville, CA for family and friends to pass through. After a miscommunication on the Interment site, the Susanville PGR responded to the new location in Janesville in time to present Honors to Pvt2 Douglas Bowman and his family.

On a cold and raining day, 9 PGR members - 7 cages and 2 motors, showed to present Honors for this true American Hero, where the PGR stood Honor Line at his final resting.

I would like to give a special thanks to Reno Nevada PGR member Tom who rode his motor from Minden, NV in the pouring rain to assist the Susanville PGR stand Honor Line with American Flags during this Mission. In addition to our Patriot Guard Riders we had a great representation of many groups on this Mission.

They include :
Patriot Guard Riders
American Legion
US Army Reserve

Lastly, but not the least, I am thankful to Pvt2 Douglas Bowman, US Army Veteran, an American Hero and his family. Your watch has been stood, your duty to protect this nation is complete, and you’ve earned the right to be called a true American Hero. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, your Mission is complete.
