US Navy, Korean War Veteran, Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald Prater - Susanville, CA

The Patriot Guard Riders having been invited by the family of fallen US Navy Veteran, Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald W. Prater, to stand and honor during his Interment Service at the Diamond Crest Cemetery, Susanville, CA. 96130. Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald W. Prater served his country proudly from 23 Aug 1951 to 27 July 1955.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald W. Prater entered the US Navy and became a SeaBee as a Construction Driver - Scrapper Operator, serving over three years in the Philippines at Cubi Point building the Subic Bay Air Station and a two mile long pier capable of docking the US Navy's largest aircraft carriers. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald W. Prater went to work for CalTrans in Wrightwood, CA, ultimately transferring to Susanville, where he retired.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Ronald W. Prater was a proud US Navy Veteran and SeaBee. Because of his love of life, his sense of humor and his love for his family, he will be missed by many. Please bring your flags for the flag line to render honors to a great man and the last of a Great Generation.
